LAPHROAIG 34 YEAR OLD — THE IAN HUNTER STORY BOOK 5

Discover Laphroaig 34 Year Old Ian Hunter Book 5, an extraordinary 34-year-old Islay single malt Scotch whisky that celebrates the remarkable legacy of one of Scotland’s most influential whisky pioneers.

Released in 2023, this exceptional expression is the fifth and final chapter in the prestigious Ian Hunter Story Collection, honouring the last member of the Johnston family to own and manage the legendary Laphroaig Distillery.

Named Enduring Spirit, this rare single malt has undergone an extraordinary 34 years of maturation, combining first-fill American oak ex-bourbon barrels with Pedro Ximénez European oak hogsheads to create a beautifully complex whisky filled with richness, elegance and distinctive Islay character.

Bottled at 45.5% ABV, without chill filtration, this remarkable expression showcases the perfect harmony between Laphroaig’s signature peat smoke and decades of exceptional oak maturation.

Expect captivating aromas of gentle peat smoke, vanilla fudge, sweet candyfloss, blueberries and raspberries, accompanied by delicate floral notes and hints of toasted wood. The palate reveals luxurious layers of salted caramel, rich butterscotch, roasted chestnuts, ripe peaches and warming white pepper, leading to a long, sophisticated finish of lingering peat smoke, sweet malt and delicate oak.

Presented in an elegant collector’s bottle with premium book-inspired packaging, this prestigious final release is a magnificent addition to any serious whisky collection.
