Diamond Wheels are Perfect Pass RC’s premium aluminum speed run wheels: a 7075 aluminum rim with a proprietary rubber tire, built to replace foam wheels on plastic rim for 17mm hex RC cars.
BUILT FOR 200+ MPH

At 200+ MPH, a tire is under 20,000+ Gs of force trying to rip it apart. Foam tires break down and plastic rims flex and wobble. That is how a run ends early, and how a car gets destroyed. Diamond Wheels were built to handle exactly that.
THE RIM: 7075 ALUMINUM

Each rim is meticulously machined from super high quality 7075 aluminum, the same alloy we use for our high end parts, at 97.5 mm OD by 42 mm wide with a tire thickness of 5.75mm. Aluminum stays round and rigid at speeds where plastic bends, so your wheel stays true and your car stays stable and planted.
THE TIRE: 18 MONTHS OF DEVELOPMENT

This is not foam. The tire is made from a proprietary blend of five specially made rubbers and elastomers. It took Perfect Pass RC 18 months to develop a tire that can take the extreme forces of a 200+ MPH run while keeping its shape, rigidity and unmatched traction. Unlike foam tires, it holds its structure in extreme conditions, no matter what you throw at it.
THE BOND

A strong tire is only half of the job. The glue that holds the tire to the aluminum rim is also our own proprietary technology, and it took months and months to develop. It is made to keep the tire locked to the rim when 20,000+ Gs are trying to pull them apart.
A TIGHT, VIBRATION-FREE FIT

The axle hole and the 17mm hex pocket were carefully sized to be as tight as possible, to eliminate vibration, and at the same time big enough to fit most 17mm hex types on the market. Install them and go.
SHORE

We have tried many blends and for speed runs 50 Shore was the sweet spot between traction, durability and rigidity. While 40-45 Shore gave slightly better traction, price was paid with reduced durability. On the same note, a 60-65 Shore felt too slippery and stability was sacrificed. 50 Shore feels like winning and enjoying both worlds.
WHEEL WEIGHT

During R&D we always knew that the final production version will be lighter than the samples. The sample were made extremely rigid which resulted with a heavier rim. We did that because we needed and wanted to concentrate only on the rubber and bond, while ensuring the rim is one less thing to worry about. However, while continuously testing the wheels we fell in love with the stable sensation and planted behavior a heavier rim than we have originally designed gave us. When it was time to finally produce the wheels to the public, we wanted to gift the same addicting sensation to our community and we have decided to keep the rims as solid as our samples were.

The machining process and mounting procedures are extremely time consuming, challenging and intense.
While we try our best to maintain a flawless appearance, please expect some small blemishes, tiny scratches and occasional glue residue.
We have tried our best to master the process, however with such unbelievably strong glue, occasional small cosmetic flaws are inevitable.

OPEN OUTDOORS OR IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA!
These wheels are designed to withstand extreme operating conditions exceeding 20,000 RPM and 20,000 G, requiring us to develop our own proprietary, high-strength bonding process together with specialized rubber vulcanization and casting procedures.

Because the wheels are sealed shortly after manufacturing, residual manufacturing odors and vapors may become concentrated inside the sealed package.

Avoid directly inhaling the air or vapors released when opening the package.

Open the package outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Remove the wheels from the packaging and allow them to ventilate outdoors or in a well-ventilated area for several days before bringing them into or storing them in an enclosed indoor space.

Please note: You can use the wheels right away as long as it’s outdoors.
