Snowed In takes its name seriously, arriving in a large log gift basket built for settling in and not coming out until the new year. A proper drinks line-up runs from Chapelle Royale Chablis and Borgo Conventi’s Refosco to Luscombe’s elderflower bubbly, Lyme Bay’s fruit cake liqueur, Flint Vineyard’s Charmat, and a bottle of Fonseca’s Bin No. 27 Port. On the savoury front, West Country Legends’ cheddar cheese straws and Delicioso’s Picos Artesanos pair nicely with Highfield’s cranberry sauce and whisky marmalade, while Odysea’s flame-roasted peppers and houmous and Tenuta Marmorelle’s black and green olives round out the grazing board. Sweet treats come thick and fast too: Butlers’ Platinum Collection, Buttermilk’s Dark & Stormy fudge, Cole’s classic Christmas pudding, and Ooh! Chocolata’s rose and lemon Turkish delight all compete for attention, alongside a Walkers Glenfiddich mincemeat tart six-pack and a full tin of Williams’ handbaked chocolates. Edinburgh Tea & Coffee Company’s Christmas ground coffee covers the mornings, and a Grand Illusions scalloped pillar candle in light grey sets the mood for whenever the weather closes in
