Win your chance to pair with a Team England international match angler and compete for an incredible £5,000 top prize – split equally between the winning pair.
On Saturday 13 March 2027, 10 competition winners will head to Hythe Parade, where each will be paired with one of 10 full England International match Anglers and current members of Team England.
You’ll fish together as a pair, from one peg, for one combined result.
And if your pair finishes top of the match?
You win £2,500. Your Partner wins £2,500.
Winner pair takes it all.

xSaturday 13 March 2027
Fishing: 11:00am–16:00pm
Registration, welcome, safety briefing, match briefing and peg draw will take place approximately two hours before fishing begins.
Once the pegs are drawn, each pair will have time to get onto their peg, set up and discuss how they want to approach the match.
Competition bait will be supplied equally to every pair and only the supplied bait may be used during the match.
The detailed match rules will be supplied separately, but this is a genuine pairs event: both anglers contribute towards one combined result.
Each competitor must cast and retrieve their own rod. The anglers may assist each other with other elements of fishing, including baiting, tackle preparation and general match activity.
The aim is simple: the Winner isn’t there just to watch an elite match angler fish. Both members of the pair have to take part.
The match will be catch-and-release, with fish recorded by event stewards and results calculated using the event’s length-to-weight conversion system.
The pair recording the biggest converted bag wins.
More Than Just the £2,500
For the Winner, this is about much more than the cash prize.
It’s the opportunity to spend a competitive match fishing alongside an established match angler – seeing how they approach the venue, conditions, tactics, tackle and decision-making when there is a serious prize on the line.
Your Pro may make contact with you before the event. Exactly how much interaction takes place before match day will vary between Pros. Some may simply have a chat beforehand; others may choose to discuss the venue and tactics in much greater detail or even arrange a practice session.
Any additional involvement is entirely at the individual Pro’s discretion and is not something TTC can guarantee.
Every Winner will also receive a competition pack covering the venue, tides, likely species, common tactics, event timings and what to expect on the day.
Important Information Before Entering
By entering, you should be aware of the following:
- You must be 18 or over to enter. Under-18s cannot participate or be nominated to take a place.
- You must consider yourself fit and physically capable of competing in a fishing match on Hythe Parade, or be prepared to nominate another eligible adult to fish in your place.
- Winners may nominate another eligible adult to take their place if they do not wish or are unable to fish themselves.
- If you win more than one place, you may only personally fish one. Any additional winning places must be allocated to another eligible nominated angler or may be redrawn.
- Winners must confirm their place or nomination by 30th September.
- A nominated angler inherits the Winner’s allocated Pro.
- If a Pro has to withdraw, TTC may substitute another suitable Pro and the Winner will inherit that replacement pairing.
- The £2,500 Winner’s share of the prize is paid to the person who actually fishes the match on the day, irrespective of who originally purchased the winning ticket.
- Competition bait is provided. Travel, accommodation, tackle and other personal expenses are not included.
- Winners should expect to bring their own suitable fishing tackle unless they agree something different directly with their assigned Pro.
- TTC reserves the right to postpone the event to a future date if weather, sea conditions, safety or other circumstances make this necessary.
- Participants will be filmed and photographed as part of the event. Acceptance of a place includes consent for TTC to use this footage and imagery in coverage and promotion of this and future TTC Pro-AM events.
- Full competition terms and detailed match rules apply.
This isn’t about watching elite match anglers from the sidelines.
You could be fishing alongside one of them.
