This is the classic M42 associated with the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions during Operation Overlord. Before D-Day, many paratroopers had their M42 uniforms modified with reinforcing material around high-wear areas and the large cargo pockets, helping them cope with the huge amount of equipment carried into Normandy.
The jacket includes authentic-style details such as Scovill press studs, Talon-branded zips, reinforced lower cargo pockets, upper chest pockets, expanding pocket fasteners, shoulder epaulettes, adjustable cuffs, waist belt and the distinctive throat pocket designed for the M2 paratrooper knife.
