WWII MACKINAW “JEEP” COAT

The Mackinaw Coat, often nicknamed the “Jeep Coat,” became a popular cold-weather garment worn by US Army personnel during WWII, particularly officers and vehicle drivers.

Offering considerably more coverage than the waist-length M41 Field Jacket or Tanker Jacket, the Mackinaw extends below the waist to around mid-thigh, providing extra protection against cold and wind.

This reproduction features a smart dark khaki/tan cotton outer shell with a warm brown wool-mix blanket-style lining, giving it the distinctive look of the wartime original.
