The 2026 0.5g Australian Mini Roo is the latest addition to The Perth Mint’s annual series of miniature gold coins, continuing its tradition of exquisite craftsmanship in a highly compact format. Struck in 99.99% pure gold, this proof-quality coin features a new depiction of Australia’s most iconic marsupial.

The reverse design is of two kangaroos leaping across the water, with the coin’s weight, fineness, year-date, and Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark incorporated. A privy mark with the number 40 pays tribute to the 40th anniversary of the Australian Nugget, the first official Australian legal tender gold coin series. The obverse shows the portrait of King Charles III by Dan Thorne, with the coin’s denomination of $2 below.
