How cool is this? It's a 70cc 2 stroke motor with 3 speed manual gearbox!

To expand and diversify its market share, in 1958 Garelli merged with another Italian manufacturer called Agrati who were producing a successful range of scooters called the Capri with engines ranging from 50 to 125cc. With the ever-increasing competition for buyers in Italy, Garelli found a growing demand for scooters overseas so the majority of Capri scooters were exported to this new market. This model came in three specifications and used a Minarelli engine.

This bike is definitely a project! It starts goes and stops and with some jiggery pokery does go up and down the gears but may need tome fine tuning, it's a simple design operated by twisting the left handlebar which pulls two cables running underneath the bike to the gearbox selector.

This bike hasn't been on the road for years it's no longer on the system bur reg and frame numbers still there so with a dating certificate it may be possible to register. Either that or stick it in the man-cave!
