It's a 1998 Kawasaki GPZ500S!
The Kawasaki GPZ500S is a lightweight, affordable, and practical budget sports-tourer featuring a durable 498cc parallel-twin engine.
It's barely run in with just 10k miles on the clock!
Engine and Performance
Power output: Produces around 59–60 horsepower and 34–45 Nm of torque.
Powerband: Feels lumpy below 3,000 RPM, smooths out by 4,000 RPM, and pulls strongly past a distinct powerband at 6,500 RPM up to its 11,000 RPM redline.
Top speed: Reaches up to 125 mph with neutral, competent handling on open roads.
Handling and Comfort
Riding position: Offers a surprisingly comfortable, semi-upright "sit up and beg" posture despite its sporty half-fairing and clip-on handlebars.
Seat height: Low seat height around 760–780 mm makes it very accessible for shorter or beginner riders.
Weight: Lightweight and narrow frame (approx. 176 kg) makes it agile in corners and easy to maneuver.
Surprisingly good fun to ride and although not a high performance machine it goes well at the top of the rev range!
If you're looking for your first big bike or a winter hack this could be the bike for you!
