The Dalmore 17 Year Old is a richly layered Highland single malt built around The Dalmore’s familiar house style, polished, indulgent and deeply sherried. After an initial maturation in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, the whisky is finished across a trio of rare González Byass sherry casks: Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem, each adding its own shade of fruit, spice and depth.
The result is a big, dark-fruited dram with a silky texture: think treacle toffee, orange oils and roasted nuts, with waves of dried fruit and a warming, chocolatey oakiness
