This is a Royal Mile Whiskies exclusive single cask; a Mortlach 17 year old, bottled at natural strength from a sherry puncheon. This is a rich and refined dram, with notes of butterscotch, orange oil, rancio and festive spices.

Gordon and MacPhail are renowned for their curation of quality casks, forged through expertise and relationships built up over their 130 years of operation.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Indulgently old fashioned, vanilla fudge melds seamlessly with the tangy rancio of quality oloroso. Water brings out plain chocolate and dried apricot.

Palate – Butterscotch, dark honey, cinnamon & nutmeg with warming, lively orange oil. Water imparts an unctuous texture and brings out notes of camphor and curacao orange.

Finish – Lingering spice and candied peel.
