WIN THIS RAASAY HUNGARIAN OAK CASK!

A limited release from Raasay that showcases the influence of Hungarian oak (Quercus petraea). In early 2021 both peated and unpeated spirit were filled into Hungarian oak barriques that previously held Oloroso sherry. These were then combined in March of 2026, creating a lightly peated whisky full of rich sherried notes and a gingery spice from the unique wood type. One of 8,000 bottles at higher strength.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Orange peel, roasted hazelnuts, geranium, cinnamon, ginger, sponge cake

Palate – Ginger, coffee, sherry, dark chocolate

Finish – Lingering sweet orange, ginger and smoky bacon
