ARDNAMURCHAN AD/ PAUL LAUNOIS RELEASE A DISTINCTIVE WEST HIGHLAND SINGLE MALT FINISHED IN FRENCH OAK CHAMPAGNE CASKS The Ardnamurchan AD/ Paul Launois Release is a characterful limited-edition single malt created from unpeated spirit matured in ten ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in French oak casks previously used by Champagne producer Paul Launois. This unusual maturation brings together Ardnamurchan’s robust Highland character with bright citrus, rich fruit and elegant Champagne-cask influence. Expect layers of tangy orange, lemon curd, salted caramel, rum and raisin, ripe peach and crème de cacao, balanced by dry oak, nutmeg and a gentle peppery spice. The finish moves from dry and structured into a richer wave of fruit, followed by lively citrus acidity. Bottled without chill filtration and presented at natural colour, this is a fascinating release from one of Scotland’s most exciting modern distilleries.
